Summary

John (Peter Gallagher) is a drifter who returns to his home town of Chicago to make amends with his cousin Michael (Jon Tenney), who was abandoned by John's family when they were young. Soon, the cousins have patched things up, and the duo become involved in a series of complicated practical jokes with the tagline Watch It! with Tenney's housemates Rick (John C. McGinley) and Danny (Tom Sizemore). Things turn sour when John falls in love with his Michael's girlfriend, Anne, (Suzy Amis), and the jokes become more serious, and more cruel. John is then forced to grow up and make a commitment to an adult relationship with Anne while making a tentative peace with Michael.
